Saab Viggen (1999) US version

Does anyone know about how quick these cars are after the Trionics upgrade, injectors, intake pipe, intake, intercooler, and exaust mods as seen at

0-60 and/or 1/4 mile figures? I'm looking at one and am wondering what it's tuning potential is.

Thanks,

Tuning potential is just amazing. I know people who squeeze 290hp out of their 9-3 2.3 turbo.

If you are doing all that, you need to do some suspension tuning too. You need a steering rack brace (Abbot has one, there are others), Koni's, springs, and perhaps you want to think about brakes. You might want to check with Abbott to see what kind of times they get. They tend to be honest folks IME (although pricey).

Also, you might want to realize that Saabs are not really drag racing vehicles. The 0-60 might only drop to 6.1 or so seconds since FWD cars don't launch well and the tires tend to spin quite a bit as the load shift. But, the 30-70 acceleration will kick you in the butt and you'll grin so wide you'll need cosmetic surgery to knock the smile off your face. Should you live in a country where speeds above this are legal (ahem...) then you'll find the Saab screams at higher speeds.
