'94 SL2 Fuel Filter

Need to find that squirrely little fuel filter for my '94 SL2. Can somebody point me in the right direction?

Also, any tips as to how one goes about changing one of these beasts?

Tks

First be sure that the new filter is METAL. I have read horror stories about the plastic ones leaking after some time.

You need to get the left front wheel up on something so you can slide under the car and work SAFELY. The filter will be located under the floor where your left foot would be while driving.

Find the correct fuse for the FUEL PUMP. After the engine is started, remove the fuse. After a few moments, the engine will stall, turn off the key. Now the fuel system should have depressurized, but always be aware.

A fuel line release tool (plastic device) should come with your new filter. It should also contain instructions on how to use it. Once both of your lines are off, remove the filter mounting bracket bolt.

Install in reverse order. Reinstall your fuse. Cycle your key on and off about

4 or 5 times to prime the fuel system. Check filter area for leaks. If no leaks found, start engine.

Good luck, James
