I have a 2000 LS2. Went to use the car the other day but I couldn't get the ignition switch to turn. The steering wheel is locked as well as the shift lever. I tried moving the steering wheel while turning the key but the key won't budge and I'm afraid of breaking the key off in the ignition switch if I force it. Does anyone have any recommendations?
Try forcing the wheel in opposite directions while lightly turning the key. It should then find the "unlock" spot and allow you to start up the car. I think they did this so kids would not put the car in netural and crash into the house or what-not.
