Service time

Took my vue for its first oil change last week. I live 25 miles from the dealer. I made an appointment for 10am, got there at 945. It was after 11 when I my car was ready. To me this seems like a long time for an oil change and tire rotation when I have an appointment. I complained and the service manager was going to get back with me but so far, nothing. It was a good experience buying at Saturn but the service dept has disappointed me. I'm not driving that far and spending that much of my time for simple routine maintenance.

Is 1 hour 15 minutes+ normal at Saturn dealers for this maintenance?

Sounds about right. You might do better going to 'Jiffy Lube' but I've heard horror stories about those quick change places. All reasons why I do my own maintenance. Oppie

Most dealerships near me have 29 minutes oil changes (all makes).

Same here. My Buick dealer does 29 minutes without an appointment. Guess I'll only go to saturn for warrenty items.

If it were just the oil change, I'd say yes. But with the tire rotation, I'd say it was OK. Keep in mind they should be topping up the fluids and giving you a courtesy car wash also.

Oil change with tire rotation pays .45 hours. Basically its a half hour once they find your car, rack it, and drive it off. Thats only so long as they are not getting backed up. If its a Ecotec its fast if its a

3.0L or 3.5L its a bitch. Your best bet is to br> If it were just the oil change, I'd say yes. But with the tire rotation, I'd
