1952 Studebaker Big Six / Rmoving Oil Pan

Dec 08, 2006 3 Replies

I made a mistake by sliding a floor jack under the oil pan of the truck, it dented the pan, now I have to pull the pan off, The issue is that the cross member is in the way of the last 3 or 4 bolts, To tight to get a extention between the pan and the cross member! Does any one have a idea on how to remove the bolts with out pulling the engione out of the truck? Thank You Dennis

Undo the motor mounts and raise the engine.

Odd, I just dropped the pan on my big six 3E without anything other then my swivel sockets.
