A great Studebaker weekend.

I have acquired a 60 -259 engine that may need some work. The engine has been setting for a unknown time.

First of all, it turns over using a pry bar on the flywheel bolts. Big plus.

Saturday, I fabticated a engine dolly , so I could work on the engine. total cost for the engine dolly, $0.00.

Made it out of some old angle iron, and a pile of nuts and bolts I had around.

The engine fits perfectly in it.

I have removed everything except the heads, and have not broken a bolt, or barked a knuckle so far!!!

Tomorrow, we will attempt to fit a starter to it , and run a compression check.

I found a full gasket get for $120, at advance auto. (have to wait till next week to buy them, and my allowance only goes so far!!!

I had forgotten how much fun this is.) Jim in Tulsa.
