I have been searching postings about this years Speedweek on every forum, newsgroup, and website for Studebakers and their performance. Near as I can tell there were 12 Studes on the salt this year - 4 Avanti's, 1 R-series pickup, and the rest '53 coupes. There were 5 new records set, 3 were with Stude motors. There was another Stude-powered Avanti that could not make it - they lacked a trailer. Most of the Stude pix have been posted already, and those that weren't needn't be posted here. I will have to wait for a friend to return from the salt for video - he goes every year and tapes at least 4 hours worth of runs, pit action, and spectators cars. He usually gets a shot of every Stude just for me. I can hardly wait!
