DOG NEEDS RIDE HOME

Jun 12, 2010 5 Replies

"Louis" aka. 5 month old basset hound missing since May 15 finally showed up bout 350 miles from his {Dothan Al. home} He is now at present nearJacksonville Fl. {Middleburg Fl 32068. to be specific. Since right off the bat in his disappearance we posted on craigslist and another couple sites and passed out flyers trying to locate him My daughter today got an e-mail from someone claiming to be operating a basset hound rescue society from near Jacksonville. Word has it that the woman {from Dothan} that found him was visiting her hair dresser and spoke of the dog. Just so happens that the hair dresser knew of a client that has a relative that harbors stray or unwanted basset hounds. I'm sure he didn't walk there so he needs a ride back home. Any body coming from that way to Dothan could save me bout 8 hours of driving time and I will pay what you need. Louis prefers to ride in a Studebaker but I'm sure he will adjust accordingly. thanks jim

Bassets, dumb? No. STUBBORN, yes. Possibly THE most stubborn... But they can smell a milk bone a half mile away..... Weimers, dumb? Sometimes, but none that I have owned... Silly? Yes. One of my best Weimer stories is when my brother took one of mine out for a walk... they came to an older lady with a foo foo dog on a leash..both of them 'dressed up'... She said 'what a lovely doggie'...and reached to pet him (the Weimer..not my brother) whrereupon the Weimer lifted his leg and peed on the foo foo's head... Of course my brother could not contain his laughter and she told them they BOTH needed "obedience school"... Studebaker George

Dog back home last evening. U-ship service. 100 bucks jimmijim
