Dave,. Drive South East to Dothan Al. And I'l put you up and have you drive my Stude. and 92 Corvette. Have xtra bed and bath. I'll put you up if I can put up with you and you can put up with me.Cars would be fine.. Maybee even take a ride down to Tallahassee and visit Studebaker George if he would agree to put up with us a little. jimmijim

I drove my 61 Lark VIII last week - but not too far, the new rubber gasket for the gas pedal is grabbing the rod and making her run faster than I want too!

Hi Dan,

You sure the rubber didn't come from a floor mat in a Toyota...(G)

Most Studebakers have a good name for being faster that even cars on the road today...Anyway enjoy your drives today there everyone...

Check for binding linkage or weak throttle return spring. Something ain't right and you may be wrong on the rubber accordion boot diagnosis. Just a thought. jimmijim Not dead yet.

I drove mine to town and passed LOTS of Xbrands on the way to get it inspected..15 miles Down US 290..lots of gaping mouths as I passed people at 80 and 85 mph....did not pass inspection though...leak at the exhaust flange gasket, everything else was fine....I get an annual inspection every 18 months or so whether I need it or not.
