Nice Hawk and listing

Nice to see such a nice presentation for this lovely Hawk.

Three Observations:

  1. Agreed; very nicely presented.

  1. Those cannot be the original vinyl seat inserts. (Does ANY 1962 Daytona or Hawk have the ORIGINAL vinyl seat inserts intact and not cracked??)

  2. With those auxillary exhaust hangers that close to the engine, and being bolted to what appears to be the body underside at that point, the car MUST have some exhaust rattle/resonance somewhere in it's operating range! BP

I agree about the hangers and wonder about the two electric fuel pumps mounted too far from the gas tank to work correctly.

I suppose, with that low mileage and if it was always garaged, they could be original seats but they do look too nice to be original. His "perfect" headliner is wrinkled (:-)

Maybe that is why he has two of them. He could mount those pumps a few feet farther back, but it's hard to find a place under there that is not higher than the bottom of the tank.

Seats have been redone. ( the pleats are stitched, and should be heat sealed.)
