I was listening to a piece that was on NPR today (but I missed the ending) aand heard a repeat via the NPR site and laater entered out favorite word into their "search" and came up with 15 - 20 articles. I have a lot to do, so didn't listen to any of them The only one I had heard "live" was the one on 2002IM, where the BoveThunder came in so well. Most of the others were not of interest, but there was one concerning the Detroit Studebaker/Ford building, one with Andy Beckman, one on JM in California and maybe another.

They've been doing some stuff that I wouldn't have expected but was pleasantly surprised to hear. I caught an interview with Dave Grohl (Nirvana, Foo Fighters, Queens of the Stone Age, etc.) on Fresh Air the other day, was really weird to hear "Smells Like Teen Spirit" on NPR. (if you don't know who/what I'm talking about, ask your kids, they'll know.)
Made me feel old, too... I remember exactly where I was the first time I heard that come on the radio. (giving a diver girl a ride home from a swim meet in my dad's old Chevy pickup.) At the time, it was a sign that the long horrible era of '80s hair metal and crappy pop music might finally be over... and now it's on NPR like some *historical event?* It can't be historical, I was there!
