I just heard that one of my favorite automotive journalists & historians, Beverly Rae Kimes, passed away last month at 68. She was with Automoble Quarterly from the beginning and was known for interesting, well researched articles on automotive subjects. She had a talent for bringing personalities to life and holding the readers attention, and was the recipient of about every award in automotive journalism. She acted as judge or announcer at many classic car events and was considered one of the best in her field. She wrote hundred of articles and several books, including collobarating with Richard Langworth on the landmark book, Packard Story. She did much to advance the old car hobby and will be missed by many. Barry'd in Studes

I met her only one time - at AQ in the early 1970s. I didn't have a chance to talk withher long enough to judge her persnality, but admired her works.and the folks at the museum speak well of her.

I have a copy of a SAH obit on her. Want a copy via USPS?
