OT for aviation buffs

It is indeed. I showed this one to my son a few days ago. He is in to radio controlled "toys". His analysis was that the rig probably cost in excess of $10,000 and was very complicated to control- had a least six and maybe more different control functions (1- rudder, 2- ailerons, 3-landing gear, 4- engines (if all four were controlled with one controller, other wise add three controls), 5-X-1 drop, 6-crew ejections. This doesn't count flying the X-1. He also said the individual flying the model was VERY skilled. Paul Johnson

I wonder how big of a house you could buy with what was invested in those two toys. Totally amazing, the skill, the construction and the co-ordination. Totally amazing.
