Watched the Pinks Marathon on SPEED... Bitch, bitch, whine, whine, race, repeat.... But.... They did an episode called "All Out' that was well worth watching... They 'invited' anyone and everyone to come to the dragstrip on a certain weekend. Then you ran your car "all out"...twice. They took your cars ET and speed and ranked you. They looked at all the groupings and 'chose' the closest 16 competitors in an ET range. (In this episode it was 10.00 to 10.20)... They shut the timing tower lights off (No ET's or MPH's shown at all. Hand start only, no Christmas tree. Then they matched you up in pairs. They gave you $1000 cash and let you bet it (or keep it)... Then you ran your paired up competitor...Winner takes all and goes to the next round. Loser is out. You run too fast (sandbagging)...They tossed you out. Their call. Overall winner takes home a $10,000 CASH prize, plus the grand from each round win, plus whatever was bet on the side in each round. So the overall winner could possibly make $18,000 (if every racer went 'all in', which only one guy offered and his competitor balked at and only bet $300) Happy blonde lady in a 60's pickup won it all. A very entertaining show. Wish they'd do all the "Pink's" show this way. Jeff
