Rosanky swap meet has been moved

Just read this in the La Grange paper....the Rosanky Swap meet has been moved to the Big Red Barn in Round Top Sept 20 -22. Works out great for me I am only about 30 minutes away and my in laws house is about 1/2 mile away so I will not have to pay the $5 parking fee (I'm a cheap B-----d) I may take the Packard Sedan and park it in my Brother in laws front yard (I'm a CHEAP B-----d).

The Big Red Barn is a few miles north of Roundtop at 475 HWY 237. If you are coming out of Houston on US 290, about 4 miles west of Burton be in the left lane for the turnoff to Round Top. Jim (The Cheap B)

And if you'd like to attend the Hill Country Chapter meeting (and officer election) THIS weekend; see below!

When: Saturday, September 15, 1:00 P.M. Where: 11201 Solitary Fawn Trail, Austin

September 15 is our Hill Country Chapter SDC meeting at Bob Robert's place west of Austin. Bob is really going all out, with a full lunch planned, followed by a big screen slide show of the SDC International meet in South Bend, plus more! We will also collect dues and elect officers. Bob also has a 9,000 lb. lift he has offered for any of us wanting to check under our cars!

Please RSVP to Bob by September 8 at 'broberts at bobrob.com' . Or else call me at 830 990 1109, and I'll pass it on to Bob.

Mark your calendars now for our chapter's November 10 meeting, which will be a picnic at Inks Lake State Park, hosted by Joe Studebaker and myself. Details to follow in next newsletter.

And if you are looking for an event to attend in October, October

13-18 is the Big Bend tour hosted by the Fredericksburg Vintage Car Club. If anyone is interested, contact David Weir at 830 537 4810 or snipped-for-privacy@gvtc.com. This tour is probably full, but there may have been some cancellations.

This is from our chapter newsletter...so the "Joe Studebaker and myself" is the authour (Russ Studebaker), not me!
