I was out walking the dog a few minutes ago when a older gentleman pulled up into my drive. He asked if I was the guy with the old Studebaker. When I confessed my guilt he handed me one of those round enameled "Authorized Studebaker Service" signs (this one is about 12" across). He said his daughter had given it to him and he thought it should go to someone with a Stude. I thanked him profusely and offered to pay him something for it. When he refused I offered him a ride in my car. He declined that as well and drove off.
When I am working on my car people often stop and ask about it. He must have remembered the car and where I lived and took the time and trouble to bring the sign over to give to me. With all the jerks you meet in the world it is nice to run into a really great person. And I did not even get his name.
