Thinking about one of the bolt on front end kits from slick street stuff. What experience has anyone had with these kits?

Yes, the designer was Melvin Ghant(sp?), from Richmond, VA. He's a race car fabricator and quite a capable individual. Members of the lower Virginia Chapter's know him. It's unfortunate the person on the SDC forum is having such a problem with Rene's equipment. Might be the car, itself, has a problem.
This Kit is badly engineered , inherently weak , unsafe and has steering geometry that will never work . The ford stub axles and steering arms are designed for a front mounted rack which is not possible on Studebaker , if you like living avoid this rubbish
