Does anyone have some for sale, or know where to find some, or know of non-Subie alternatives? I just want to be able to strap some cargo on the roof, not bikes or kayaks or anything glamorous like that.

Thule cross bars look good, and take many, many accessories if you need them...
I have strapped ladders, kayaks, surf boards, waterskis and the like to mine, and never had a problem...
