Have the OEM roof rack on 03 4Rnr. Want to be able to carry 2 kayaks w/ paddles or skiis. Appears Toyota does not make any accessories to doe this or even to mount the Yakima or Thule add-ons to the cross members. This means you have to buy the Yakima low-ridders so you can mount the Yakima cross bars to hold the add ons. Yakima makes something called the Mighty Mount (horizontal or vertical) that might fit the OEM cross members. Has anyone tired that vice the complete second rack? Any other suggestions? Yakima over Thule --- or another brand?
