Brake Line, Rear, Replacement (95 Legacy L)

Jan 08, 2006 1 Replies

Hello

My 95 Legacy L Wagon right rear brake line failed, and I need to replace it.

Got underneath the rear, and it appears as though I have to drop the gas tank (and possibly more) to get access to the brake line.

Has anyone replaced their brake lines on a 95 Legacy? Is it painful, or, simple to replace? I imagine that I should replace the left line while I am under there?!?

Any suggestions/advice is greatly appreciated.

Regards, John

Whether you are talking about rubber hoses or metal lines, it's a good idea to replace all of them if one has failed due to age or corrosion. It's not something you really want to have happen while you're making a quick stop...
