What are people paying for a timing belt replacement ? (On a 2.5L Legacy Outback, and on a 2.2L Impreza).

I paid $650 two years ago, but that included an oil change and tune up plus a new water pump. The timing belt was $80. Labor for the timing belt, water pump and fan belts was about $190. There may have been other small charges associated with the timing belt. It is had to separate them from the total job.

This past March, I paid about $319 (parts and labor) with a dealer coupon to replace the t-belt on my 99 OBW. I had other work done while the belt was off, but that's what the belt portion of the work cost.
