Just installed the tweeter upgrade for my 2003 forester. It was so easy to install. Took about 3 minutes per speaker. I just had to pop out the existing trim piece molding by the window corner and pop in the tweeters. The wiring harness was already attached to the existing trim piece, then just press in the new grill covers. Sounds is much better. I highly recommend this upgrade to all that want to improve on sound quality for not much $$ ( ~$70.00) and have a very easy install.

Mike, Any clue as to whether this same kit fits the '01 Forester? It might say on the box.

It's a different kit from 03 MY onwards. The previous models also have a kit, about half the price, but require the door interior panels to be removed.

I think its a different kit for an older forester. What makes this one so easy is that the wiring harness is right there in the door.
