I want to replace the rear speakers on my 2000 Subaru Forester. They are 5" speakers. Does anyone have a suggestion where I could purchase some decent 5" speakers ? I recently replaced the front ones (6 1/2") with Panasonic speakers. Please note: The rears are not 5 1/4" which is a standard size.

Have you tried the fitment calculator at one of the stereo sites like Crutchfield? Not that they are always accurate since they said I couldn't fit 6.5" Infinity's in my 04 OB. Don't be so sure you can't fit 5.25" speakers in your Forester.
According to Crutchfield 5 1/4 inch won't fit. But I'm going to try one just to be sure. Crutchfield said that they don't carry "quality" 5 inch speakers. They suggested using 4 inch ones with a homemade adapter. Since I'm not handy I ruled that out.
