Outbacks in Oregon

I live in northern California. Last weekend I drove up to Washington and back on highway 97 which passes through the center of the state.

I was amazed at the number of Outback wagons I passed and the almost total lack of Imprezzas and Foresters. In California, quantities of Outback and Foresters are pretty evenly matched with a liberal dose of Impressa/WRX's mixed in.

Why do Oregonians just love Outbacks?

Nope. Highway 97 is high desert, not the *rainy* coast.

Don't know the reason but OBW's are the norm here and a lot of them. I've had the OBW for about 15 months and have never had need for the

4wd and I'm sure that is typ for most Subie owners here as we don't get snow in the valley that often. I live near a small town and I can't go into town without seeing several on the streets. Spent a week driving L.A. freeways earlier this yr and only saw 3 subies while there.
