i had the problem remedied yesterday after putting up with it for three years. it happens(according to subaru people) because the outside mirrors tend to pull on the rubber of the window. i dont believe them. anyways..they fixed it fast and now its quiet! just tell them its been like that since you got the car..make them think its a recall deal..they will deny it but fix it pronto..free! good luck by the way..winter sucked because of that. dont wait as long as i did. harpy
