My 95 SVX Transmission just died the other day.... slipped a little for a couple days...the I pretty much lost everything above 2nd (and even that's sketchy). Quotes I'm getting for a new one are $6500ish.....still looking around.
Since I've only had this car for a little over 2 years (only 85K mi), and i've already got a little more than that into it, i'm torn what to do....
Any one know any good mechanics anywhere near Seacoast, NH?
I've had the rear bearings done, but that's about it... the car is far from perfect cosmetic condition... paint issues, and couple tiny accidents (repaired), slight interior problems, etc. But the motor seems strong to me. Other than the front bearings, what should I expect? Could i get my money's wiorth out of another 6K? so far, i havent.....
