I just replaced the timing belts on our 92 Loyale 1.8 had a few problems but got it done. When the car died the first thing I did was pull the distributer cap because I had a problem with the screw coming out of the rotor once before so I thought that might be the problem. The screw was in the rotor but it wasn?t turning so I thought maybe the gear on the shaft had broken or come loose. I pulled the distributor but everything looked OK. Thats when I found the broken timing belt. Anyway got everything fixed put back together but now I need to set the timing. My Chilton manual says to make sure the idle switch is ON (?) and to connect the green test mode connector which I can?t find anywhere. They?re are three connector?s behind the fuse panel white, pink, green but all three are already connected.I don?t think these are the one I?m looking for but I can?t find another green connector. Can anyone tell me what I?m driving myself crazy looking for. The car is running but it?s kind of sluggish. Thanks for any help you can give me.
