1988 Mercury Grand Marquis PCV valve

I know this may sound like a really dumb question, but I cannot locate the PCV vavle on this car. I have looked where the 'manual' says it should be (driver side valve cover), but it isn't there. Then I checked the more obvious places (engine block, other valve cover, near oil filler, etc.). Not only can I not find the darn thing, but I don't even see breather houses that are remotely the same size anywhere in the engine compartment. It is fuel injected, with air conditioning, if that makes a difference.

Does anyone know where it might be or where I might find a picture of the engine compatment the way it is 'supposed to look' on my car? If you have an answer, please email me at snipped-for-privacy@yahoo.com

Thanks and take care

Under the rear of the intake manifold in the block. It can be a real B***h to get at. There is also a sort of filter under it in the PCV hole which tends to clog causing problems. It should also be replaced. The location of the PCV must be a design holdover from the days of the road draft tube which also installed there in the small block Ford engines..
