1992 Buick Century Ignition Switch ???

May 31, 2007 2 Replies

Is there any way to test or adjust the ignition switch in a 92 Buick Century?

Electrically or mechanically? If electrically, I think the switch is towards the middle of the column, run by a rod from the switch. What's the complaint?

Yes. If it is the Saginaw unit I think it is, the switch is down at the bottom of the column attached to the keyswitch by a rod setup. The switch is adjustable via a slotted bolt hole.

If you have tilt steering the bad part is usually the hinge area linkage.
