Try constructing a decent question. What do you mean by "top end?" Do you mean speed wise or the top of the engine? And what does the noise sound like? Under what conditions? It's just silly to ask a question like you did.

I agree, noises are like people....they can in many shapes and sizes.(pitch of sounds) We first need to know how and when the noises occure.

Are you talking about the piston slap noise or the timing chain tensioner noise?
