The first one I looked at was American made and was finely casted and machined. The other box I opened was made in Korea and both the finish and machining was poor. Not only that, but it was defective right out of the box. You could put both bearings side by side and could tell that the Korean one was not assembled properly. I had them order another one and it, too, was Korean made, but at least it was properly put together. Guess what? After about a month, the Korean made bearing failed. But who cares.....the manufacturer was obviously saving a few bucks by making them overseas.
