Just a quick note on a new multiprotocol scantool that I have developed.
Basically this scantool supports all the OBD2 protocols VPW, PWM, ISO & CAN.

Does it do;
Manufacturer enhanced?
CAN?
Mode 6?
System tests?
Bi-directional control?
What I have developed is the interface to communicate with the vehicle it still needs OBD II software such as PCMSCAN etc
Manufacturer enhanced - It can support different headers etc so technically if the OBD II software has support for manufacturer enhanced the interface supports it
CAN - Yes 11 & 29 bit (250 & 500 KB)
Mode 6 - Yes the OBD II software needs to be aware of how to interpret the messages but the interface supports it
System tests - Again software dependent any OBD Messages can be handled by the firmware
Bi-directional control - Well since the interface can send any command sequence, yes provided the OBD II software supports it.
