Can anyone recommend good sources of practical knowledge for testing and repairing AC -- in general, but also specifically particular automobile systems?

repairing AC -- in general, but also specifically particular automobile systems?
The best book for a specific vehicle would be the vehicle manufacturer's "Factory Service Manual" Set of books (some are 4 books to set). Or the same information on computer DVD. About 2000 pages of info for one specific year/model vehicle! Order from dealer for around $160.00.
The would explain how a specific system worked and give complete troubleshooting and repair instructions for that system.
Then for an "overall" book, go to Amazon.com, select books in the search drop down, then search for the words... automotive AC
Many books to choose from. The more expensive and more pages, the better the book usually.
