Buying & mounting new tires tomorrow (two questions)

A place that aligned the red dot with the stem. Since I didn't hear mention of there being a dimple on the rim, that's the right way. Isn't that what the printout said? Or am I missing something? I don't understand this. If we assume they know how to mount and balance tires, the trash can is the right place for something a customer brings in telling them how to mount/balance tires. Seems like they didn't have to look at the printout. This doesn't make much sense to me.

If there is no dimple or yellow dot, that is certainly the way they are supposed to go. His comment about them not knowing how to balance tires was a little confusing.

I, personally, have had to take my torque wrench to the tire shop in this town and insist they torque the lugs.. They never heard of it, preferred to use an impact wrench.

None of them know what the red dots are for. And dont care.

But when I am paying, I tell them what I want and tip them if they do well, bitch if they dont.
