I spead carb cleaner to the base on my 87 Accord and the engine rev up,is anything I can just patch base of the carb to stop the leak?

I spead carb cleaner to the base on my 87 Accord and the engine rev up,is anything I can just patch base of the carb to stop the leak?
I would try to tighten it first.
Then second I would be looking for a new base gasket.
And third I would use some 'gasket' maker sealant on it. Do not use silicone of any type, gas turns it to jelly fairly fast, get a real gasket maker liquid of some type that states it's for gas.
