I forget the sequence and would really appreciate a reminder. Disconnect battery. how long? connect battery. Key on. Key off twice? then start?

What year? & model, options - they are a little diff with diff options? Ya think?
My 94 w4L v6 4WD:
Start with cold engine- after sitting over night
diconnect batt. for a few min.
connect batt
start
let engine go thru complete warm up at idle- op temp on gauge? or 10 min.
street drive around the block- maybe jump on it a bit.
turn engine off - few min.
computer is now "reset" to factory defaults & learned your engine/ driving.
