Back around 200e I bought a 1948 Willys Jeep for $300.00.The Jeep is completely worn out, the guy I bought the Jeep from said it has two burnt valves.I would fix my Jeep up and drive it, but I am too fat to get behind the steering wheel.I wonder if there is some sort of aftermarket steering wheel/short steering post assembly, whatever, I can buy or adapt something? cuhulin

Yes, there certainly is. You can get a smaller wheel, you can also move the seat back some by putting a little notch in the fender. Both are pretty common mods.
Having a head rebuilt is not a real expensive job. Jeeps are really easy to work on and there are tons of aftermarket parts made for them.

When I was in the Army in Vietnam (Tan Son Nhut) in 1964, I ''borrowed'' a Jeep to go down town to visit my Vietnamese girlfriend, she worked at a bar in Saigon.About ten minutes later, I got back in that Jeep and I drove back to our barracks area and I parked that Jeep exacatly where I found it.I guess nobody ever missed that Jeep.On the way back to Tan Son Nhut, a big old 1950s Citroen car swung wide around a corner, missed me by about two feet.I can still see that old Citroen car now. cuhulin
