Certainly you should if that nonsence is what you think science says. Ice ages last for *thousands* of years and take thousands of years to start. Moreover they run in exact intervals. As the below graph clearly shows.
Global warming due to our changes to earth's environment work completely different and in completely different ways.
They don't run in "exact intervals." If you think the intervals on the graph your reference below are exact, then you're wrong.
As the below graph clearly shows.

And half of 150,000 years (+/-) is what? You don't want the period, you want 1/2 the period for the coldest.
But that was alomst *exactly* what you *did* say. Hence my reply. I bit more thought and a bit less sensationalism in your posts could work wonders.
*I* never said he could. You'd literally have to move the earth to do it.dr_jeff wrote in news: snipped-for-privacy@msu.edu:
Hmm. so I'm supposed to believe someone who can't correctly in line post or correctly see a graph right in front of their eyes. Riight.

I hope not. That would wreck my plans for the beach this weekend.

Your chart would seem to prove the point, not disprove it. The claim was that we are at the peak temp and are now starting on the slide downward in temps toward the next Ice Age. That's exactly what the chart shows within it's limits of accuracy.

No, No, No, No!. They are two *completely* different things. One is natural and has happened back to when earth first had a livable atmosphere at least and the other is the result of ozone depletion and other man created effects. There is *absolutely* no connection between the two and they work completely independant of one another. The ice age cycle is caused by a wobble in the rotation of the earth of an extremely low period that changes the angle of the sun hitting the earth. This leads to a slightly lower average temperature causing less melt of accumulated snow and over hundreds and thousands of years this eventually causes the snow to not melt away until the next winter. The albedo of this snow makes it colder and the process accelerates. Eventually you get glaciers and far later you get an above average temperature and less oblique tilt causing it that reverses the process.
