Question--important

Exactly. Now the car smells like a "no-smoking" room in a cheap motel!

I'm an ex 5 packs/day man. It would never work on me.

It also gets into the foam of the seats from underneath -- not easy to clean those. Nor the AC evaporator and ductwork -- at least not easily.

If it were my car I would consider it rendered useless to me.

Dog urine aerosol be working good. It fix odorings from the bidi smoke. You be putting dog urine in sqweeze botol and then spraying inside the Tata. Close vents and park in hot sun for one day.

Don't want your parents to know you smoked in there car? Pour half a beer under the drivers seat. I GUARANTY they won't smell the cig. Let us know how it works.

What a waste - just drink the beer, then barf under the drivers seat - it'll smell 'zactly the same without the waste of good beer. ;-)

After you've tried everything else, consider that it might NOT be cigarette smoke odor. It could be mildew/mold in the HVAC vents. I had an odor problem in my Dakota (which I bought new) usually during the summer months when I ran the A/C.

It is very possible that something (animal, vegetable or mineral) has entered the vents from outside or your drain is plugged on the vents and mold/mildew is building up. The auto parts stores carry a product that you squirt into your HVAC vent system.

Is the odor stronger when you run the fan? This is a good indication of something in the vents.

I went with a friend to a dealership to buy a used Corolla for his mom. It had a heavy cigarette odor. He said he'd take it only if they got the cigarette odor completely out. I don't know how they did it, but when we picked up up, there wasn't a trace, and he said it never came back.

I smoked when I was a teenager at home, and my parents didn't have to smell the car; they could smell it on me.

I would recommend you find a non smoking friend to get in it and see.

Here is the answer.

You tell your parents that you friend "Dave" lit up a really stinky cigar in the car, and even though you got him to put it right out, it was so strong that the whole car is STILL stinky.

My parents would have believed it. But then, both of my parents smoked. Hell, back then EVERYONE smoked. They even had ads on the radio about how various brands of cigarettes were good for you....

Wet two paper towles with white vinigar (ring them out a little so theyre not driping) and put them on the back floor overnight. By morning the smell will be gone.

See if you can rent or borrow a ionizer, it will remove all traces of smoke in about 2 hours.

Good luck
