While driving my truck today the "VSC OFF" and the "VSC TRAC" and "CHECK ENGINE " Light came on, any clues as to what the cause would be ?

Probably a problem with a component that is common to the Vehicle Stability Control,Traction Control, and OBD II system like a vehicle or wheel speed sensor.
Take it someplace for an OBD II scan. Auto parts stores will often let you use the scan tool for free.
