Toyota 4 Runner 3.0 Diesel Turbo Warning light

Hi fella's or font of all knowledge My first post....Ha ..I've recently got a 3.0 diesel 4 runner that has had head gasket problems ....... the the head was un repairable and the cyl on no3 was marked so i went for a secondhand engine ....now it drives and performs as it should do ...but the turbo pressure warning light seems to come on infrequently and has a mind of its own ....

where is the sensor could it be faulty or is there another underlying problem? the warning light is on with the ignition before starting ..sometimes goes off after starting then comes back on at odd times?.....any ideas

many thanks fatjap44

by the way anyone want to buy a 350 BHP Skyline Auto ..its sat in my garage ...done less than a 1000 miles in it this year

We do not have diesel 4Runners in the U.S., but warning light principles are pretty much the same. The proper diagnosis is to use a gauge to measure actual pressure. If pressure is within specs, then the sensor should be checked. I would look for the sensor on the output side of the turbo.
