adding features to 2003 Highlander

How difficult and expensive is it to add features to 2003 Highlander?

--- temperature to mirror

--- upgrade from manual to automatic climate control

Is the wiring in place and it's only a matter of adding a module somewhere?

Toyota dealers offer a compass in the mirror that you could probably install yourself. The outside temperature readout is probably part of the automatic climate control. An upgrade from the manual to the automatic climate control will probably cost at least a couple of thousand dollars, as there is a different module, dashboard controls, 2 or 3 sensors for air temperature and solar position, outside air sensor, actuators for the dampers, and the actuator type dampers. In other words, changing from manual to automatic climate control is not fiscally feasible.

I figured as much. Thanks.

There are days, especially in winter, when I care not to know the outside temp.
