Hello. I'm interested in buying a 95 Paseo with an automatic. If any of you own one, please tell me what kind of gas mileage you get with it. I know what the manual gets but need info on the auto. Thanks.

95 Paseo is the same as a '95 Tercel, with a different body. Everybody else in here is probably getting tired of hearing it, but we'll do it again: I live in a semi-rural area, and my travels allow me to run my car mostly between 35-65MPH, mostly 35-50MPH(I like driving the 'back road' as opposed to the highway, since they resurfaced the main road I use). I usually managed 42-45 MPG. I had a '95 Tercel with an auto, AC, 5F-E engine (same as in the Paseo).
However, one idea I had was to buy a '98 Paseo and stuff a 4A-GE engine into it (early MR2, Corolla GTS) that produces 128HP and revs good. The Paseo/Tercel engine with the auto is a dog that can't get out of it's own way. But I digress...
If you do more urban driving, you should expect 29-35 MPG unless you're really city bound.
