I need to swap my 3A engine..*pic inside*

Hi, What Engine would fit in my 81 tercel ?? My 3A engine is dying and it would not pass Aircare (vehicle inspection) The problem with my engine is when you put your foot down on the gas, a huge cloud of smoke comes from the exhust. Any help would be appratiated.

A 3A engine will fit in your 81 Tercel.

Wow its nice an clean on the outside! Do a compression check of below 80 psi or a couple cylinder low have it rebuilt! If thats ok then clean carb, do a tune up to inclde plug wires, plugs, distributor cap and air cleaner. No other engine is a direct replacement.
