Me too, actually. I love beer, but only certain very select kinds.
My very favorite is Pilsner Urquell (from the Czech Republic, naturally). The Pilsner Urquell brewery was purchased by SAB Miller around 1990, but Miller has thankfully not altered the unique taste of the world's original and oldest genuine Pilsner.

Spudwiser, brewed with Arkansas rice. But not the rice from Craighead county, they're dry, and they wouldn't participate in making alcohol. They're growing all that rice for Riceland Rice down in Stuckert. (The same town the rest of us pronounce Stuttgart.)

But then think of waterslide parks & what they must think of wet, chilly summers. Or even rainy warm summers.
That explains it all. I like grapefruit (pink or red, not white) w/sugar, or preferably with a drizzling of maple syrup (real maple syrup, not the fake-o stuff).

You need to find a conoisseur to guide you along, Cathy. You have yet to experience something akin to...well...the second-best thing to do that has nothing to do with removing your clothing.
Maybe Budweiser. Or Miller's, or Utica Club/Matt's/Saranac. Or whatever else is out there. To me, whatever was being served, it all tasted the same. Like beer. Yuk.

I truly think liking the taste of beer - or even getting used to it - is a lost cause in my case. A whiskey & soda - or some other mixer, fine. A gin & tonic, fine. A hot toddy - made with rum or whiskey - yum. Eggnog (real eggnog) with whiskey or brandy or Kahlua - yum. Wine - as long as it isn't too dry - good. Hard cider - yum. Various liqueurs - yum. Beer - yuk.

The REAL Budweiser is brewed and bottled at Budweis (Ceske Budjejovice), Czech Republic.
In Europe it is called "Budweiser Budvar". In North America they can only call it "Czechvar" because they lost a lawsuit with Anheuser Busch.
The real Budweiser is better than Anheuser Busch's Budweiser knockoff, but still isn't that great.

Interesting. I'm thinking that liking beer and dry wine go hand-in-hand.
You couldn't GIVE me a sweet drink, wine or otherwise.
I just finished a half-bottle of a fine Cabernet.
I do. Bottles not so much, but on tap it's great.
We have a micro-brewery near my home that brews a fine pilsner.
You have another suggestion? I'm all ears.

No. I forget the name, but it's associated with a local Lampost Pizza.
It's excellent.
I just called them. It's called "The Jagged Little Pilsner".
