Err, the '96 Celica GT-Four has hydraulic clutch, which is the 3SGTE engine, i imagine the 3S-GE does too, im not sure about other engines, but i cant see much chance of them changing it.
But anyway, im not sure why that would be causing the problems you describe - if it needed bleeding it would not disengage properly and your gears would crunch, so unless its gummed up with cack theres no reason for it. Mines as instant as a cable clutch but smoother. Didnt know it was a hydro until i looked at changing my clutch. Since been bled with DOT5.1 brake fluid - bit smoother and easier if that helps?
