Seen this in a Canadian Tire flyer. Anyone wish to comment?

I guess it can't hurt if you want to spend the money, any strong magnet will work and they have been installing magnets in some automatic transmission pans and on the end of engine oil pan drain bolts for years, but if you notice it being effective, you usually will have far bigger problems.
hehehehehehe. If it works, replace your engine.
