{OT} Self fulfilling prphecy?

I was going to post a message here either Wednesday or yesterday about myobservations of having Democrats in power. I am kind of a 'borderline' employee. I know enough to get by, and have aboatload of experience, but when it comes down to it, with so many peoplewith full college educations, I sometimes get left out in the cold. I justnever finished, although I do have an Associate's and about 3 years ofPart-time schooling. So, when the Republicans are in power, and the job market begins totighten, I'm usually the next one after the Kolledge Kids to get hired. When the Dems are in power, the job market slacks, and I can usually holdmy own to a point, but eventually I get the Pink Slip. The Freakin' Dems aren't even in power yet, and ALREADY I'm hit!!!!I took today off since it was such a nice day and the last day I was goingto drive the Supra with the roof off. It goes into storage tomorrow.I was Simonizing the Scion when I got a call; my boss, his boss and HR. I knew what it was...I had just made a joke about the Company letter I gotwith my check yesterday; "What's this, a Pink Slip?"Always the way it goes; when the Republicans are in power, I do very well, when the Democrats are in power, my skills just aren't in demand.Too bad I'm a Techie and not a Burger Flipper...

After that layoff I went back to school....I'm an RN now. Layoff is the LAST thing I worry about regarding my job.

Typical asshole DEMONrat logic--blaming GWB for the poor management of the company.

No logic issues when it was going the other way?? BTW, the company with the "poor mangagement" was Sony Corp.....maybe you've heard of them?

Sony has made various blunders---not the least of which was their colossal mishandling of the BETA format.

Medical is a good field, my sister has been in it for years, she has never had any trouble with layoffs and could find another job anywhere she wants in a NY heartbeat.

Sony suffered from competition that's all. It didn't have anything to do with Bush. Sony TVs used to be top of the line, but somewhere they dropped the ball.
