³Suppose John McCain had been Joan McCain and Joan McCain had got captured, shot down and been a POW for eight years. [The media would ask], ?What did you do wrong to get captured? What terrible things did you do while you were there as a captive for eight years?¹² Steinem said, to laughter from the audience."

Steinem also told the crowd that one reason to back Clinton was because ³she actually enjoys conflict.²

Steinem's another far left wing liberal crackpot.

I think Steinem is a bitch, but she is right. I am tired of hearing about the military past of candidates. It does not mean s*it to me.

Doesn't it give him maturity? If GW Bush had served under fire or been a POW, I'm sure he would have been a much better president and not still a dumb, overaged frat boy brat.

My father agrees with you about jet pilots

How's his 95-year-old mother's health?

I'm worried much more about John McCain being much too willing to compromise his political principles, as he demonstrated when he voted against both of GW Bush's upper-income tax cuts or when he fought to ban torture by the US but then voted to allow it. We don't need a president who will try to appease the non-conservative far right and let it get its un-American way.

I don't see any evidence of that:
