A new SF series has begun running on the UK's ITV1. "Primeval" is a simple story of time slips and primaeval creatures rampant in modern-day UK. Aimed at teens, it's fun for adults as well. Scripting, acting and production values were good. CGI beasts, FWIW, are by the same folks who made "Walking With Dinosaurs".
At one point in the action I thought of this NG's Big Brute SUV and FWD fans. Not to spoil anything... but imagine you have to take out a bus-sized carnivore in a hurry. No question. Would your weapon of choice be: hard words; slingshot; Saturday Night Special; 45 Magnum; 50mm cannon; or a Toyota SUV with bullbars?
